Boarding Rates and Inclusions

Boarding rate is $550 per month. This includes hay, grain, shavings, stall cleaning, turnout, blanketing, fans, scheduling and holding for vet or farrier. A $20 fee will be added May through September for fan electricity and fly spray.  Extra fees may be incurred for paste de-worming, clipping, grooming, mane pulling, medical attention or hauling. Horses will be turned out the majority of the day, weather permitting.  Horses may be stalled at night. A deposit of $550 is required and refundable only with 30 day written notice of leaving.

Training consists of riding, lungeing, or ground training your horse. We do break horses, and train weanlings and yearlings as well. We will start your baby right! We also fix problem horses, and specialize in trailering and respect issues. Training sessions are $40 each and last anywhere from 30-60 minutes.

About the Facility
A long drive way takes you by the house and around the arena to the 10 stall barn. The stalls are mostly 12x12 with some smaller, custom built stalls for the small ponies! A large grooming and wash rack line one side of the barn with easy access to the tack room. A huge tack room and feed/lounge area are included inside the barn. On the east side of the barn there is a hay barn and tractor storage area, and parking for trailers and guests. There is a bathroom and office located at the back of the house, where Julie and Tony live. Lovely large paddocks, a pond, and pecan and fruit trees adorn the property. Construction will continue with run-in sheds for the horses, a round pen, and eventually a gazebo as well.

My daughter has been taking lessons at Abingdon Park for over six years. Her riding skills and horsemanship have developed tremendously and along with that, her self-confidence, discipline, and sense of responsibility. Maria went form an eight year old girl who loved horses but was concerned about the ups and downs of horseback riding, to a young woman who loves horses more than anything else and has the skills and disposition to face every challenge with courage and with the best attitude. I am forever grateful to Julie for helping Maria achieve her goals and for reinforcing such important values in her life.                       --Liliana Grosso Richins
