Julie was named a Top 50 Riding Instructor in the
United States by the American Riding Instructor's Association for 2009. This distinguished award was presented in Naples,
Florida in November 2009 where Julie got to meet and chat with George Morris, chef d'equipe of the United States Equestrian
Team and legendary rider, trainer and coach.
Abingdon Park is an English riding program located in Pilot Point, Texas, off of Hwy 377. Pilot Point, in Denton
County, is in the heart of North Texas horse country and is just moments from Hwy 380, Denton and Lake Ray Roberts. The
University of North Texas and Texas Women's University are also nearby.
We offer lessons, boarding for lesson
students, horse and pony training and shows for adults and children ages 6 and up.
Abingdon Park is owned and operated
by Julie Tullos, an instructor with a Level III Hunt Seat Certification as well as experience and success in the hunter show
ring and with the United States Pony Clubs (USPC), and by her husband, Tony. Abingdon Park also offers an Equine Appraisal
service - Julie is a certified Equine Appraiser with the American Society of Equine Appraisers.
served as the Head Instructor for Windmill Stables in Richardson, as the Regional Supervisor for the Red River Region Pony
Clubs,and was also a USPC National Quiz Championships Judge for 3 years. Tony follows the Clinton Anderson
philosophy in his training of the horses. He is quiet and gentle and extremely patient and has had tremendous success in creating
well disciplined, safe horses for all types of riders.
